Code of Conduct

1. I will not engage in the use of crude, foul or abusive language that may be determined offensive or engage in any conduct detrimental to the image of the game when on or off the field.
2. I will refrain from arguing with the referee and/or assistant referees regarding decisions they make.
3. I will treat participants, officials, and spectators with respect.
4. I will play by the laws of the game.
5. I will cooperate with my coach, teammates, FV staff, referees, and officials.
6. I will not use any banned substance or drugs of dependence at any time during the program.
7. I will display good sportsmanship at all times.

1. Remember that children play sport for their enjoyment, not yours.
2. Encourage children to participate, do not force them.
3. Focus on the child’s efforts and performance rather than winning or losing.
4. Encourage children to always participate according to the rules.
5. Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game.
6. Remember that children learn best by example. Applaud good play by all teams.
7. Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.
8. Respect officials’ decisions and teach children to do likewise.
9. Show appreciation of coaches, officials and administrators. Without them, your child could not participate.

1. Respect the decisions of the Match Officials;
2. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their race, colour, religion, language, ability, politics, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin;
3. Not engage in the use of violence in any form, whether it is by other Spectators, Team Officials (including coaches), or Players;
4. Not engage in discrimination, harassment, or abuse in any form, including but not limited to the use of obscene or offensive language or gestures, the incitement of hatred or violence, or indecent or racist chanting;
5. Comply with FV’s “Conditions of Entry” at all venues;
6. Do not carry, light, or throw flares or missiles (including onto the field of play or at other spectators);
7. Not enter the field of play or its surrounds without lawful authority; and
8. Conduct themselves in a manner that enhances, rather than injures, the reputation and goodwill of FV, Football Federation Australia (FFA), and football generally.
9. Any person who does not comply with this Code or who, in the opinion of FV, causes or attempts to cause a disturbance may be asked to leave and may be prohibited from attending future FV-run events and/or programs.
