πŸ”” Support TLFC

Truganina Lions FC is a volunteer-run community club, and our ongoing success relies entirely on the support of our incredible members and parents. To ensure every team thrives, we need volunteer parent coaches and team managers for the upcoming season, as well as parent Game Leaders for our MiniRoos teams (U7 to U11).

Getting involved comes with great perksβ€”you get a front-row seat to the action, the opportunity to shape player development and embody our club values, and access to coaching development courses to build your own skills.

To support our volunteers, all appointed coaches and team managers receive official TLFC apparel, including a club polo and puffer jacket.

⚽ Team Coach Role

  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC): Must hold a current Victorian WWCC (Volunteer or Employee) linked directly to Truganina Lions FC.

  • Official State Registration: Complete mandatory annual registration on PlayFootball and Majestri as an accredited club coach prior to matchday duties.

  • Coaching Accreditation: Hold or be actively working toward Football Australia coaching qualifications (e.g., Foundation of Football / C-Diploma) appropriate for the age group.

  • Training & Match Management: Plan and lead weekly training sessions and direct team tactics and player rotations on matchdays.

  • Player Development Focus: Prioritize individual skill development, game understanding, and equal participation over a win-at-all-costs mentality.

  • Code of Conduct Adherence: Up-hold Football Victoria (FV) and TLFC Codes of Conduct, demonstrating fair play and respect toward referees, opponents, and officials.

  • Child Safety & Protection: Strictly adhere to FV Child Safe Standards, National Member Protection Policies, and club safety guidelines.

  • Collaborative Communication: Maintain positive, clear communication with team managers, committee members, players, and parents throughout the season.

  • Kit & Equipment Oversight: Manage and maintain team playing kits, match balls, first aid supplies, and training equipment throughout the season.

  • Sideline Behaviour Management: Ensure parents, guardians, and spectators adhere to the FV Spectator Code of Conduct during training and matches.
