Truganina Lions FC thrives on community spirit. As a grassroots club, we rely heavily on parents, guardians, and local supporters pitching in. Every shared effort helps us keep registration fees affordable, deliver a high-quality football experience for our players, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for families across our community.

Whether you can lend an hour on match day or assist behind the scenes, there is always a way for you to pitch in. Training and friendly guidance are always provided—as the saying goes, many hands make light work!

1. Game Day & Pitch Side

• Team Coaches & Assistant Coaches: Help guide players, run drills, and foster a fun, positive learning environment on training nights and match days.

• Team Managers: Keep team parents informed, manage game day logistics, and coordinate match sheets and shift rosters.

• MiniRoos Game Leaders (U7–U11): Facilitate small-sided matches, keep time, and ensure young players are playing safely and having fun.

• Ground Marshals: Wear a hi-vis vest on match days to assist visitors, support referees, and ensure a safe, respectful environment for everyone.

2. Matchday Operations & Facilities

• Canteen & BBQ Support: Serve food, drinks, and snacks during weekend home fixtures—a fun, social way to meet other club families.

• Pitch Setup & Pack Down: Help put up nets, position corner flags, set up bench seating, and pack equipment away after matches.

3. Behind the Scenes & Club Support

• Event Coordination: Help organize club social events, fundraising initiatives, and end-of-season presentations.

• Media & Communications: Take matchday photos, write game recaps, or help manage club social media content.

• General Administration & Logistics: Lend a hand with member communications, equipment audits, sponsorship outreach, or general administrative tasks.

• Say Hello: Let us know what skills you bring or how much time you can share. Whether it's 30 minutes a week or an occasional weekend shift, every bit helps.

• Get Matched: We will connect you with a role or task that fits neatly around your family and work commitments.

• Start Supported: You are never on your own! We provide clear guidance, friendly step-by-step handovers, and full support from our committee members.

Safeguarding our players is a shared responsibility and our highest priority. In Victoria, volunteer roles involving junior sport require a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

• Free for Volunteers: WWCCs are 100% free for volunteers and take only a few minutes to apply for online.
• Application Support: If you don't have one yet, our committee is always available to help you lodge your application.
