Playing community football in Victoria involves a two-step process:

• Step 1 (TLFC Registration): Secures your spot in the squad, covers club overheads, ground maintenance, and facilities.
• Step 2 (PlayFootball Registration): Registers the player with Football Australia (FA) and Football Victoria (FV), providing player insurance and state competition eligibility.

An EOI allows prospective players to submit their details so coaches can evaluate squad numbers. Submitting an EOI registers your interest but does not automatically guarantee a roster spot. Official offers are sent out once squad capacities and returning player allocations are finalized.

Yes. FIFA regulations require an International Transfer Clearance (ITC) for any player aged 10 or older who was previously registered with a club outside Australia. You will be prompted to request an ITC during the PlayFootball registration step.

EOIs open in late spring, with squad placements finalized between December and February. PlayFootball registrations must be completed prior to pre-season practice matches in March.

Your registration fees directly cover pitch hire, floodlighting, council ground maintenance, referee fees, certified coaching development, match equipment (balls, bibs, cones, goal nets), player insurance, and end-of-season presentation events.

Yes! We proudly accept the Victorian Government Get Active Kids Voucher (up to $200 per eligible child). You can enter your voucher code during the payment process or present it to our treasurer prior to finalizing registration.

Yes. We understand family budgets vary. The club offers flexible installment arrangements upon request. Please contact our treasurer confidentially before the payment deadline to set up a plan.

Age groups in Victoria are determined strictly by the player’s age as of December 31st of the competition year (for example, a player turning 9 in 2027 plays in Under 9 MiniRoos).

We do our best to accommodate friend requests in entry-level, non-competitive age groups (MiniRoos U7–U11). In competitive Junior divisions (U12 and above), placements are based on player evaluations and team balance.

Yes! We are passionate about female participation and offer dedicated teams across MiniTillies (Girls U7–U11), Junior Girls (U12–U17), and Senior Women’s competitions. Girls also have the option to play in mixed teams up to Under 12.

Players must wear the official TLFC match kit (playing shirt, shorts, and green/gold socks). Playing kits and spectator merchandise can be ordered online or purchased on designated fit-out days at the club rooms.

• Shin guards: Mandatory for every training session and match (safety rules strictly enforce no shin guards = no play).
• Moulded soccer boots: Required for training and playing on grass pitches.
• Water bottle: Every player must bring a clearly labeled water bottle to all sessions.

Trials for competitive Junior squads (U12+) are held in late spring and early autumn. Players should arrive 15 minutes early in athletic wear, wearing boots and shin guards, with plenty of water.

• Training: 1 to 2 weeknights per week depending on the age group.
• MiniRoos (U7–U11): Played on Saturday mornings or Sunday mornings.
• Junior Boys & Girls (U12–U17): Typically played on Sundays.
